What To Use To Kill Infections In Gums
Infection in gums are related to a host of reasons starting with lack of oral hygiene, genes, diabetic, bad habits like chewing tobacco, smoking and so on. Many of the gum related problems can easily be treated using natural substances we find around us without having to visit a dentist. Periodical visit to the dentist is definitely necessary to keep our teeth in tact, never the less, it is necessary to know that we do have few remedies in our kitchen with which we can at least bring down, if not, totally cure the infection.
Natural Remedies To Kill Infections In Gums:
- Clove is a very useful product in reducing inflammation in gums. We can either keep a clove under the tooth where there is an inflammation or apply clove oil on the gum. The oil must be uniformly applied on the gums in a gentle massaging movement.
- Likewise we have strawberries, yoghurt, lemon, pomegranate rind, sesame oil and coconut oil which are very good home remedies to treat infections in gums.
- Gargling sesame oil is supposed to bring down gum-boil and any infection in the mouth at a great speed.
Vitamin C and E are necessary to reduce infection and that is how the above fruits help in killing the infection and also gum boils.
If we are planning to visit a dentist to kill infection, gross scaling is done immediately. This involves cleaning of the teeth with water and removing all the dirt stuck on the teeth and the gums. The sugar level of the patient is then checked to see if he/she is a diabetic as that can be a reason for gum infections not getting cured. Next, the patient is put on antibiotics for a particular period to treat the infection. Dentist then recommends a good mouth wash for killing further bacteria which can affect the gums.
The person is generally advised on how to maintain oral hygiene to prevent further degeneration happening in the gums. They should brush their teeth and gums twice every day and rinse with the mouthwash. Maintain sugar levels as a diabetic is prone to get more problems with the gums and the healing will take longer time than for a person with normal sugar levels.
