Tonsil Stones Home Treatment- How to Get Rid of Tonsilloliths Forever
Ok, so you are probably on this page because you found a nasty clump of yellow junk in the back of your throat and you found out that they are called tonsil stones or the fancy word “tonsilloliths”. First, you should realize that there are MILLIONS of people who have tonsil stones as well, so you are definitely not alone. When I first started digging tonsil stones out of my throat I thought I has some kind of disease or something was wrong with me.
Well, the more research I did, the more I found out that it’s nothing life threatening, so that was a relief. But I also found that they give you terribly bad breath and even can cause you some throat irritation problems. I actually had to stop singing for a while because of the irritation the tonsil stones were causing.
The problem is that MOST of the time even Doctors misdiagnose tonsil stones or simply do not know what they are. When I was having throat problems even my speech therapist had no idea what I was talking about when I mentioned I had problems with tonsil stones. I am betting that most people who have tonsil stones don’t even know they are called that. Since it is kind of embarrassing really, I assume most people just don’t talk about it, but they are definitely doing research on it.
The first time you find a tonsil stone or (tonsillolith) in the back of your mouth it will really gross you out. Those yellowish balls of gunk can get stuck anywhere in your tonsils and it can be more than just annoying.
They will give you some terrible breath that you might not even notice as much as your friends do, but worst of all these yellow stones can cause sore throats and itchy, scratchy vocal chords as well.
People that don’t have tonsil stones don’t really know what it is like, and it can be hard to explain it to them. Chronic sufferers of this condition can have the yellowish stones almost every day and they can be very difficult to remove. In fact, I have often caused more irritation and swelling in my throat by trying to remove a stone that would just not budge. These things are nasty and can get caught very easily in the nooks and crannies of tonsils.
Here are some things you can do to help get rid of those tonsil stones:
- Use a Water Pik or Syringe to flush out the tonsil stones. This may be a temporary means of getting them out, but it’s also much better than using a q-tip or your fingers because you can damage the lining in your throat this way and cause more irritation.
- Having your tonsils removed or getting a tonsillectomy is a sure way of never having tonsilloliths again. This is not an option for everyone, however, and can cause more severe health problems for older people. Not having your tonsils will keep all of those gunks of food from finding a lodging place to build up all that bacteria.
- Gargle with warm salt water. If you have a small case of tonsil stones this may help to prevent them, but it did not work for me and I needed something more.
- Use an antibiotic from the doctor. There is a special mouth wash you can use with antibiotics in it, but it can be costly and may not keep the tonsil stones from coming back. And to keep them away you will have to continue to gargle with this special mouth wash, so it’s not the best option in my opinion.
At first I had no idea what these things were. All I knew was that I had some really weird yellow clumps of something that smelled bad in the back of my throat and it was a regular thing. All too often I would be spotted trying to dig out a tonsil stone from the back of my throat with my tongue. But usually this only irritated that spot even more and dug in the stone even deeper. I eventually started using a syringe I got from my oral surgeon when I had my wisdom teeth removed. This worked most of the time, but some of the places were still impossible to access with the syringe without hurting my throat even more.
Well thousands of people have now discovered a home treatment for tonsil stones that will get rid of them once and for all, and it does NOT involve the expenses of seeing a doctor or having surgery (although that is a route you can certainly take).

Great info on tonsil stones. I agree that banish tonsil stones is the best ebook available. Whats great about it is that it doesn’t only cover dietary restrictive methods to stop tonsil stones but also natural and safe methods to remove the stones you currently have. Thumbs up!
