Teeth Whitener and Gum Disease

Gum disease is considered a severe dental problem. One of the reasons it is very harmful is because it damages the bone of the teeth which often results in the loss of the teeth. Gum disease can be best described as unwanted deposits in the gums. These deposits are nothing but food particles which get stuck in the gums and turn into dirt over a period of time.

Root cleaning of the gums is one of the best ways to get rid of the bacteria and get the teeth back to its original white color. During root cleaning process, not only the tartar is removed, but also the gums and the teeth are cleaned thoroughly. With the help of the different dental equipments the yellowish tinge formed over the teeth is removed and the original whitish teeth complexion is then clearly visible.

The dentist also undertakes the task of polishing of the teeth once the total root cleaning of gums is over. Polishing of the teeth further improves the complexion of the teeth even more and the teeth appear to be whiter then ever before.

Some homemade remedies like hydrogen peroxide can also be used regularly in order to maintain the white color of the teeth. Apart from this brushing the teeth twice a day is also helpful.
