Safeguard Dental Insurance Plans and Benefits

Just recently in 2008, SafeGuard Health Enterprises, Inc. was bought out by MetLife. Metlife is currently the leading provider of insurance and financial services with locations all throughout the USA, Europe, as well as in Asia.

MetLife (or what was previously known as Safeguard Dental) provides dental benefits for over 21 million people worldwide. Wow, now that’s a lot of teeth cleanings. It has also been around for 45 years, so they really know what they are doing. Isn’t it good to know there are companies that have really been around the block more than a few times out there? I know it makes me feel better.

Safeguard had also been an industry leader and even listed in the Fortune 500 companies listings. Now that’s nothing to sneeze at.

When you use Safeguard, you get “real value from the very first visit”. And boy is that true. All your dental treatments, even the routine visits, can be extremely costly if you don’t get the amazing discounts that Safeguard has become known for in the industry.

2 Options: Premier Choice and Classic Choice

With Safeguard dental, you can select either “Premier Choice” or “Classic Choice” when it comes to which dental plan selection you can make. For example, with the Premier choice, all co-pays would be just $5 while costing just $10 with the classic choice. Not bad at all.

For all oral exams, it costs NOTHING on either plan. Wow. For a regular adult teeth cleaning, it is free on the Premier Choice plan, while costing just $20 on the Classic Choice plan. So you can see, these are far less than the typical costs you get from normal dental visits.

Here are a few other more “expensive” examples of pricing on each plan. For complete upper dentures, it would cost $525 on the Classic choice plan and $325 with the Premier choice plan. This treatment generally costs $1370 if paying out of pocket. Ouch!

For a porcelain crown fused to base metal, you pay only $350 with the Classic Choice plan, and just $245 with the Premier Choice plan. This treatment usually costs about $995 if paying out of pocket. That is an amazing deal, if I do say so myself!

So based on those amazing examples of dental savings, you should really look into Safeguard (or now called MetLife) and get the prices you deserve, starting today!
