Are Disposable Toothbrushes Any Good?
Ours is a disposable era. We have disposable diapers, cups, underwear and even toothbrushes. One can only wonder whether such are useful or not. Will using a disposable toothbrush give one the same benefits than a regular toothbrush? Find out and decide for yourself.

- It is very economical. Disposable toothbrushes are very cheap. There are the pre-pasted disposable toothbrushes that you can use which are just perfect for people who travel light. While the toothbrush has a lot to do with dental care, oral hygiene is all about brushing the right way and at the right time.
- It comes in handy. If you are out on a trip, a date or a party, having a disposable toothbrush will come in handy. You have two options to choose from, a pre-pasted or one that comes with toothpaste in the handle. Either way, it is just small that you can even put it in your wallet or slip in your pocket.
- It is convenient. Most disposable items are all about convenience. A disposable toothbrush also works that way. You can bring them anywhere and dispose of them after use. You can always keep yourself clean all the time without all the hassles.
Disadvantages of Using Disposable Toothbrushes
- Most pre-pasted disposable toothbrushes have an expiry period. As such, you will not be able to use them anymore beyond the date inscribed in the package. Moreover, you are not sure of the kind of toothpaste that goes with it.
- Disposable toothbrushes are intended for one time use only. Thus, they do not come with features that are essential in maintaining healthy teeth. If you noticed, the bristles and its contours are not accurately designed to ensure that all areas of the mouth are reached during brushing.
In fact, others tend to fall off even under normal use. Of course, it can give you temporary relief from bad breath but it cannot guarantee you a germs and bacteria-free mouth.
A disposable toothbrush can be helpful sometimes. However, the same must not be intended for everyday use. Nonetheless, dental and toothpaste companies have released disposable toothbrushes that can also prove to be beneficial.
